Our Website is Moving!

We have decided to switch web platforms in the hopes of increasing your satisfaction with your CVSHRM website experience. To visit the new website, please click on the link below. The new website is still under construction. All pages are not complete, but there is functionality in terms of joining or renewing online, registering for February’s meeting, receiving emails, notifications, and reminders, and logging in. Even though the new website is not finished, we would like for you to begin using and become familiar with the new website. Please be patient with us as we complete the transition and work to resolve any issues.

Check Your Credentials

When you first visit the new website, please attempt to log in using your credentials from the old website. If you are able to log in, please ensure your profile information is current and accurate. You may notice that your membership level and status are incorrect. We are aware of the problem, which occurred during the export/import of the membership roster from the old website to the Wild Apricot platform. This issue may initially prevent you from renewing your membership. If you have difficulties renewing your membership, please email Brandy Eby at brandy.eby@expresspros.com. If you are unable to log in, please email Brandon Elrod at belrod@newtonnc.gov. In either case, please provide your full name, the email address you used to register with the old website, your current email address if different than your registration email address, and a phone number.

Online Payments Now Available

Online payments will now be accepted. You may pay by credit card by entering the required information. If you would like to pay by debit card or check, you must select Invoice Me. Once you receive the invoice via email, there is a link within the invoice to make a debit card payment via PayPal. You are not required to have or establish a PayPal account. If you prefer to send a check, please print the invoice, include it with your check made payable to Catawba Valley SHRM, and mail it to Catawba Valley SHRM, PO BOX 395, Hickory NC 28603. Memberships are now on a 12-month subscription rather than annual dues from January-December, so now no matter when you pay, you will receive 12 months of member benefits. If you renew your membership in February 2021, your subscription will expire in February 2022 if it is not renewed. Membership prices have increased versus last year’s rates. The current rates listed below are also correctly posted on the new website and have been updated on the old website.

  • Dual Membership (member of both national and Catawba Valley SHRM) - $160
  • Local Chapter Only Membership (member of Catawba Valley SHRM only) - $200
  • Student Membership (restrictions apply) - $25

Online Registration for Monthly Meetings

You may now register for February’s and upcoming meetings and events online. If you experience issues registering for February’s meeting due to your membership status, please register as a first-time guest. To register, click the blue hyperlinked session title listed under Upcoming Events in the middle of the home page. Once on the event page, click the brown Register button mid-page on the left and follow the prompts. You should receive a registration confirmation email from catawbavalleyshrm@gmail.com. A meeting link to log in to the virtual meeting will be emailed to you prior to the meeting date.

Please note – some employer firewalls may block emails from Gmail accounts especially if attachments are included or there are multiple recipients. If this is the case, please add or have your IT department catawbavalleyshrm@gmail.com to your white list. Hopefully, this will not be an issue. There was delivery of email issues with the old site. I have yet to experience that problem with Wild Apricot, but we have yet to send out emails with attachments or send mass mailings. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
